Since we both have historic ties to Chichester and the South Downs National Park, we've decided to tie the knot at 2pm on Friday 5th April 2024 in the 11th century Franciscan priory in Chichester's Priory Park.
Today, this beautiful ancient building is called 'The Guildhall', owing to the years it served as the centre of government for the city. It is now exclusively used as a wedding venue. We hope you'll love the park and the building as much as we do.

Venue Information

Please note, there is no parking directly on site. 'Northgate' is the nearest carpark and is a 5 minute walk from the venue. Parking fees are around £2.10 for 2 hours and can either be pay and display, or paid using the Mipermit app - location number: 711015.

For people who may struggle to walk from the car park to the venue, there is the option to be dropped off at the entrance to the park before the car is moved to the nearest car park.

There are no toilets at venue, but there are some public loo's just opposite the guildhall, near Fenwicks Cafe.

After the ceremony, we welcome all of our guests to spend the evening with us at The White Horse inn, located 7 miles north of Chichester in the hamlet of Chilgrove. We have exclusive use of this 18th century coaching inn, which has been a favourite spot for a pint over the years. We hope it will round off a perfect day with you all.

We have exclusive use of the pub all evening, so there will be ample parking in the private carpark.

Venue Information

On arrival at the White Horse there will be a cocktail reception for the grown ups and entertainment for the kids. There will also be plenty of options for enjoying the beautiful surrounds in the garden or warming by the open fire if it's chilly!

Dinner will be served around 5pm, followed by speeches, then our band will kick the party off around 7pm. The bar will be open and well-stocked all afternoon and evening, with carriages at mid-night.

Dress Code

There is no formal dress code for the reception and evening party - wear what makes you feel good!

Policy on Children

Kids make a wedding! We want our younger guests to feel just as welcome as the older ones. They will be well catered for throughout the day, with good baby changing facilities and quiet areas available at the pub. There will be special entertainment for them, a separate menu, and WIFI available for all.

The evening party will kick off with a live band. There will be quieter parts of the pub to break off and rest your dancing feet, or to see to little ones.
We will be serving woodfired pizza & cake later on in the evening.
